Welcome to the 5th annual Summer of Plunder campaign! As of midnight on June 1st, the 2025 Summer of Plunder campaign for Firelock Games’ pirate games is live and you can enter your Blood & Plunder, Oak & Iron, and Port Royal games via the SoP Entry Form here on Blood & Pigment.

Play Some Games!
This campaign is really just about encouraging players to enjoy their wargaming hobby with Blood & Plunder, Oak & Iron, and Port Royal. Play some games with your friends at the game shop, home, convention or online, or even solo games, submit some pics and info via the campaign entry form and you’re involved.
Join the Online Community
Being a worldwide campaign, a good portion of the community interaction takes place online. Join the 2025 Summer of Plunder Discord server to connect with your nation’s team and get all the campaign updates.
You should also join the Firelock Games Discord server and their Facebook groups for Blood & Plunder (9500+ members), Oak & Iron, and Port Royal.
Connect with Local Players
Firelock Games has created an Organized Play Kit for this year’s Summer of Plunder with special scenarios, minis, goodies and all you need to lure players into your local gaming store for some good times.
Check the Firelock Games player map for people players near you,. Or network with local players via the #find-nearby-players channel in the Discord server.
Win some Plunder

Take on New Challenges
Each week players can participate in new challenges from the weekly objectives list. These objectives help you explore your game and enjoy it in new ways along with the extended community. Check out the full list of objectives you can participate in here.
Join a Nation and Work Together to Conquer the world!
The team competition plays out on an online map of the New World. Players team together and coordinate their actions under national commanders battle with other nations in the Americas and the Caribbean for dominance on the campaign map.
The campaign starts here with the Pirates, Spanish, English, French, Dutch and Native American teams all holding 4 locations. There are many neutral locations up for grabs here in the first few weeks! Coordinate with your commanders and teams in the 2025 Summer of Plunder Discord to make wise decisions on which locations to attack or defend when you submit your games.
As of June 1st, here is the breakdown of players committed to play for each nation so far (numbers coming from the Discord server):
The campaign system accounts for teams of different sizes, so the Native team should not despair! But take these numbers into consideration if you’re still deciding on which team to join this year. The more people on the team, the harder it is to earn those prizes the commanders get to award to their players!

The Summer of Plunder campaign is Firelock Games’ official organized play event for the year, but it is managed by the volunteers at Blood & Pigment, Timber and Sail, and Thieves’ Harbor, independant fan sites for Blood & Plunder, Oak & Iron and Port Royal.
