Organized Play Kit – Summer of Plunder 2026

The Summer of Plunder campaign is just around the corner! Firelock Games has partnered with us here at Blood & Pigment and together we’ve made a substantial Organized Play kit this year. Here are the details!

2026 Summer of Plunder Organized Play Kit

This year’s kit focuses on providing each of the 6 main nationalities in Blood & Plunder with a fun new Commander miniature, and then showcasing that commander in a scenario within the included booklet. These Commanders all come from the Raise the Black expansion focused on Queen Anne’s War and the following 18th c. “Golden Age of Piracy.” There are less accessories in this year’s kit, but some amazing value!

The 2026 Organized Play Kit contains:

  • Campaign Poster with basic info and dates
  • Instructions and scenario packet
    • 7 new Blood & Plunder Scenarios
    • 1 new Oak & Iron Scenario
    • 1 new Port Royal Scenario
  • 6 (4pks) new Blood & Plunder models (24 total minis)
    • 4 Pirate Benjamin Hornigold
    • 4 Spanish Jose de Zuniga y la Cerda
    • 4 English Woodes Rogers
    • 4 French Rene Duguay-Trouin
    • 4 Dutch Pieter Stool
    • 4 Native American Chief Gray Lock

Summer of Plunder Poster

Featuring images of Blood & Plunder, Oak & Iron, and Port Royal, this poster should catch some eyes at your local gaming store.

It has basic info including name, 3 word description, and dates, along with a QR code to the full page of campaign info here on Blood & Pigment. On the lower right of the poster, there’s a spot for you to write in some dates or details for your local events.

Summer of Plunder Exclusive Commander Miniatures

Sculptors Daniel and Emily have been working on these minis for weeks and we couldn’t be happier with the results! This kit will contain an all new unique sculpt for a Historical Commander from each of the primarily 6 nations in Blood & Plunder. Each of these commanders is found in the Raise the Black expansion, focusing in Queen Anne’s War and the subsequent Golden Age of Piracy.

We don’t have them all painted up yet, but we got some test prints primed up!

Pirate Commander – Benjamin Hornigold

The Grandfather of the 18th century pirates, Benjamin Hornigold has always needed his own sculpt.

Drawing inspiration from historical reputation, the Black Sails show, and Jason’s kitbashed version, this sculpt for Hornigold has some gravitas.

British Commander – Woodes Rogers

We all love this new sculpt (besides Dan but he has always had Vendetta: Woodes Rogers). With lots of motion, this sculpt is a welcome addition to the lineup of English commanders who are all very static. Great sculpt!

Spanish Commander – Jose de Zuniga y la Cerda

If you ever read up on the 1702 Siege of St. Augustine, this commander comes to life as really interesting character. A professional soldier trying to do his duty, defend his town and protect his people and imperial decay, apathy, and incompetence surrounding him above and below him in the chain of command. The Firelock sculptors did a pretty great job of making him look “fed up with it all.”

“Get back to your bastion and CLEAN YOUR CANNON!”

(Hat and neck were altered since this test print)

Josh Shivak got an early test print and got him painted up!

French Commander – Rene Duguay-Trouin

While he didn’t do as much in the Caribbean, Rene Duguay Trouin was a highly respected French admiral and fought in many many battles both on land and sea. He brought the French a huge victory at the Battle of Rio de Janeiro in 1711. He’s a banger of a commander in Blood & Plunder and he now has a new sculpt!

This is the one model we’ve had time to get painted up so far.

Dutch Commander – Pieter Stool

This Commander again has some amazing rules and it’s great to have another option for a Dutch commander model. This Privateer captain was key in fending off the major Franco-Spanish expedition against Charles Town in 1706. The French and Spanish were doing impressive work being incompetent, but Stool’s crucial intel and presence were key in quickly responding to threats along the Carolina coast.

Based off a period Dutch painting of a Dutch officer, this guy has some style.

Native American Commander – Chief Gray Lock

Surrounded by lots of interesting legends Chief Gray Lock fought against the English long after Queen Anne’s War was considered concluded. With the treaties leaving the Wabanaki out of any decisions or choices, the Native population in the NE never were fully at peace with the ever encroaching English settlers. With inspiration from several depictions of this stubborn chief, this mini is full of grisly defiance!

Yes, that’s a scalp.

The 2026 Summer of Plunder kit will contain 4 copies of each of these commanders, so each player can receive a full set!

Summer of Plunder Scenario Booklet

The Booklet this year features some introductory material, then a full lineup of 1 scenario for every week of the Summer of Plunder campaign. With contributions from various community members, there are 7 Blood & Plunder, 1 Oak & Iron, and 1 Port Royal scenario.

Each of the Commanders above are featured prominently in one of these scenarios. In addition, these scenarios are linked to the weekly objectives for the campaign, so if you play the “scenario of the week,” you can use the featured models, you’ll get some exposure to some of the notable battles of the era, and you’ll accomplish the weekly campaign objective!

The featured scenarios are very diverse, with a wide range of player counts, game size, theater, and nations represented. Players won’t necessarily want to play all of them, but we hope there’s something fun in there for everyone.

Scenarios feature a historical intro, a detailed setup, historical forces, and options for open play forces so you can play with different factions and nationalities if you prefer.

Some of these scenarios have been featured at conventions before, and some are brand new!

How to Get the Summer of Plunder Organized Play Kit

There’s three ways you can get this kit.

  1. Your retail store can order a kit that supports 4 players for $45 through their wholesale side of the website.
  2. Your local Quartermaster can order kits that support 4 players through emailing Jonathan (QM contact)
  3. YOU can order your own personal kit that has 1x of each mini for $35 right off the Firelock Games website! While not as deeply discounted, it’s still a great deal and this way it’s easy for any player to pick up the set.

The full 2026 Organized Play Kit will cost $45 (a real steal for 24 minis and poster and booklet!) and will be available to retail stores and Firelocks’ Quartermasters. Being an event kit offered at a very low cost, the full kit won’t be made available for standard purchase on the Firelock Games Website or through retail distributors.

Summer of Plunder campaign games underway!

There will be a Personal Sized OP Kit for sale on the Firelock Games website, so if you want to get a set, but don’t have a local community, store or Quartermaster to work with, you can order a set of 1 of each of the minis for $35 along with the scenario booklet and poster.

But grab your copy soon! You want to have it in hand before the campaign starts on May 28th. They have printed more this year than last year, so there shouldn’t be a shortage.

Retail Stores

Any game store can order this kit directly from Firelock Games. If they don’t already have an account, it can quickly be set up through the Retail Store Application on the Firelock website. This would be a great time to encourage your local game store to set up an account and bring this kit in for the Summer event!

Firelock Quartermasters

Firelock Games has a “Quartermaster” program for community organizers and content creators for their games. They reward active community members who help promote their games with support and store credit! It’s a great program! Someone in your group may already be serving as a Quartermaster, and they will be able to order this kit directly from Firelock Games.

If you don’t have an active event coordinator, maybe it’s time YOU became the Quartermaster for your area! You can check out the details for the program here in a more detailed article on Blood & Pigment. You can also email Jonathan who manages the program directly at quartermasters@firelockgames.com, or if you know you want to jump in with both feet, go ahead and fill out this application form.

Final Thoughts

We’re working had to get all set for the campaign! We hope this Organized Play Kit adds some great fun to your gaming this summer. You can preorder now and it sounds like they will be starting to ship in a week on May 11th.
