I hope you all had a great and profitable winter! Our celebrations have been long and the hangovers brutal, but time is short! Another year of plunder and glory is upon us! Our fleets have been rebuilt, and our will renewed. So, grab your swords and blunderbuss! Say goodbye to your loved ones and report to your ship!
As the ice thaws over Europe, the greedy eyes of our enemies have shifted once again to our overseas holdings. And can we blame them?
Last campaign season established our place as a powerful and serious player in the power struggles of the mighty empires of Europa, but it has also drawn their ire. Spain will not soon forget the castration of their empire they suffered at the hands of our mighty forces! Nor will France allow a protestant nation to upstage and embarrass it in such a fashion! And England, long our allies and protectors, are not likely to relish the thought of a rival sea and trade power!
As always, the perils of the new world are many, but the rewards are greater still. With your strength, and determination, we will once again show the world our power!

Good day ladies and gentlemen! I am honored to again lead the brave and noble Dutch forces in this year’s rendition of the Summer of Plunder.
First a bit about me. I am a police officer by trade, and an avid history nerd by passion. I have been an avid player of Firelock game systems since I first played a demo of Blood and Plunder at Gencon way back in 2016… taught by notorious scoundrel Mike Tunez himself! Since that time, I have been hooked. This marks my fourth Summer of Plunder Campaign and the second as a commander, and it has been a wild ride!
Last year, we set the record straight with out first ever win in the campaign, and this year we will make history again as the only nation to win a second campaign and the first to do so back-to-back!
But to do this I will need your help! This year some changes have been made to the campaign system that gives the players more control over the events then ever before! So be sure to read the campaign rules!
With that said, it will remain my job to work behind the scenes, make alliances with other commanders, and to coordinate our efforts, to do this we need to have a good healthy presence on our discord channel! Be sure to go to the discord “join a nation” page to pledge your allegiance to the Dutch Republic!

Dutch Second-in-Command – Zac Small

I currently work as a full-time student and a part-time fencing coach. I misinterpret rules and forget my own units’ rules almost religiously. I additionally run a gaming club at my school which has garnered the accidental perk of having child labor for painting and list building!
I play all three pirate themed games offered by Firelock along with Blood and Valor. I also play Bolt Action and Flames of War.
As the campaign unfolds, I look forward to seeing your beautifully painted minis and fighting alongside you!
