PIRATE CALL TO ARMS
To all cutthroats and corsairs of the sea, buccaneers, swashbucklers, and all sailors seeking to live free. War has come again. Once more, the great powers circle each other. So ready your crews, trim your sails, and keep a weather eye to the horizon. The English and the Dutch stand together, while the Spanish and French answer in kind, with their Native allies rising alongside them. Each claims the right to rule these waters, to draw lines across a sea, and force all to pay homage to tyranny.
We are not bound to king or country. We are not subjects to be ordered about or spent in their wars. The Sea is Our Republic, but in this battle there’s profit to be had, and glory to be found by choosing a side. Fate lands us with the English and Dutch so we shall scourge the Spanish and French from the New World. We’ll seize their ships, burn their ports, and bring battle to the Natives allied with them. Together we sail under the Black, as brethren of the sea and corsairs of the coast.
Anton Kukal – Pirate Commander, Summer of Plunder 2026
Greeting Brethren! My name’s Anton Kukal and this year I will be leading the pirates to plunder and glory. I come to this position, having greatly enjoyed Blood and Plunder for many years. In life, I pursued varied occupations including author, actor, attorney, armor officer, and life-long adventurer, none of which will be particularly useful in the upcoming battles.
As your Pirate Commander my main goal is to facilitate your fun. I’m looking forward to getting games on the table, seeing what everyone’s working on, and making this a good and profitable sail for the pirates. Whether you’re playing every week or just getting a few games in, it’s all part of the story we’ll be telling together. As allies of the English and Dutch, we’ll do our part to help our side gain victory in Queen Anne’s War, but we’re going to have a lot of fun doing it. I’m looking forward to getting to know as many of you as possible as we enjoy a summer full of good battles, painted crews, and tales worth re-telling. So, we’ll raise the black together and see what kind of trouble we can get into over the next nine weeks!

My brothers and sisters, it is a profound honor to shepherd you toward the victory you so rightly deserve. Look upon one another and take pride, for those gathered here are among the precious few on God’s green earth who truly grasp the sacred meaning of Freedom.
While the masses grovel before distant, cruel monarchs, bound by chains they cannot see, you my dear shipmates sail free upon the endless blue! While other unfortunate souls toil away their lives for the meager scraps their so-called “betters” deign to toss them, you have rejected their hollow laws. You have chosen a free path, and if God is willing, you shall soon taste the earthly riches that follow the brave!
It is a bitter shame that to escape the cold injustice of the Crown, we must walk a path of iron and violence, but take heart, for Christ forgives the righteous who fight for their bread!
Now, man the rigging and steel your hearts! Our salvation lies just beyond the horizon!

Take your share of the plunder by earning Pirate Participation points for attending group events, playing games, creating a personal pirate flag, sending in photos of your games, and other activities.
Pirate Participation Points – Summer of Plunder 2026
Hello, pirates. We will be tracking Participation Points each week, and prizes will be awarded at the end of the Summer of Plunder. A total of 50 Pirate Participation Points can be earned.
Earn 5 Pirate Participation Points by introducing yourself. Share your name, where you are from, and a little about yourself in the post, along with a picture of your personal pirate flag. Every great captain needs a flag. Your flag can be any size and made from any material. Draw it in crayon if you like. What matters is that it is yours. Raise the Black and fly it proudly.
Up to five Pirate Participation Points can be earned each week:
- Attend Paint/Planning: 1 point
- Attend Movie Night: 1 point
- Win at least one game: 1 point
- Post a photo of one game into the chat: 1 point
- Paint at least one new model or terrain piece: 1 point
Post your weekly point total into the pirate participation channel.
Pirate Participation Prizes
Top Point-Earners
The top three point-earners will receive the following figures:
- 1st place: Pirate Captain
- 2nd place: Master Gunner
- 3rd place: Surgeon
In the event of a tie, the winners will be determined by a random drawing among the highest point earners.
General Participation
At the end of the Summer of Plunder, all of the pirates (excluding the 1st-3rd place finishers) who have earned at least 20 participation points will be entered into a general raffle. One name will be drawn by Commander Anton, and one name will be drawn by Commander Ted. The two winners will each receive two Pirate Figures (Buccaneer Gun Upgrades).
Objective Prize Drawings
We also have two prizes awarded independently of Pirate Participation Points.
All pirates who complete the Pirate National Objectives in Week 3 and Week 9 will be entered into separate raffles. Week 3 will be drawn by Commander Ted and Week 4 will be drawn by Commander Anton. Both winners will each receive a set of 12 Fatigue Dice.
Pirate Objectives
During weeks 3 & 9 of the campaign, each nation has their own objective of the week. Here are the pirate objectives to accomplish:
- Week 3 –
- Plunder – Board a ship or assault into a structure
- Oak & Iron – Assault onto a ship by boarding
- Port Royal – Assault into a structure by charging
- Week 9 –
- Plunder – Use fire pots or torches
- Oak & Iron – Use a fireship
- Port Royal – Use grenadoes or stinkpots
