There’s a new podcast out there focusing on Blood & Plunder and you need to check it out! Dr. D and Kara (ScarlitWidow)have been quickly releasing some great podcast content focused on Blood & Plunder, gaming life, along with some very, very bad jokes!
Raise the Black – Arachne: An Infinity Game Podcast
The “Raise the Black” episodes are published under the Arachne podcast which appears to have several “streams” of podcast content focusing on various miniatures games. Over the course of the Summer of Plunder campaign event, Dr. D had several of the national “Commanders” for the campaign on as guests, interviewing them about their gaming backstory, history with Blood & Plunder (and Oak & Iron and Port Royal), and their roles in the Summer of Plunder campaign.
It’s a fun, high energy atmosphere with lots of good, thoughtful conversation in the middle of all the fun and jokes. While the energy is light, there is a general appreciation and knowledgeable understanding of history as well, which is great for this game!
Episodes are around 1hr, and always a rollicking good time. Some of the humor tends toward the adult side of things

Dr. D is also a highly skilled painter and runs regular painting sessions streamed live on Twitch. There’s a good bit of interaction with watchers, some commentary on painting and gaming, and just some light chatter while painting Blood & Plunder miniatures.
He seems to be regularly streaming on Monday evenings, in addition to other non-scheduled times. He has been posting a link to the stream in the Firelock Games Discord server, in the Blood & Plunder channel.
