Welcome to the People’s Choice voting for the Great Pirate Paint Off! At the end of every month between January and April, there will be an opportunity to vote on best entries in a category or two of the contest. Here’s your first chance!

January was the month for Blood & Plunder Commander and Characters and we got a ton of entries! We had a panel of judges narrow down the 100+ Commander entries to the top 20 which you see below. These decisions were torturous and there were lots more we wish we could include here! Please forgive us if we didn’t include your entry of your favorite in the voting selection here. Choices had to be made! Please look at all of the awesome Commander entries here, and the full gallery of entries to date here.

We had so many Commander entries, we decided to split out the Characters (non-commander unique models) into their own smaller category and add an additional prize. There were fewer Character entries so all of them have been presented for public voting.

Voting Rules

One vote per person per category. Vote for your very favorite entry in each category. This is on the honor system, but we do require a unique email address for each vote. Voting will usually be open for 3-4 days and then the winners will be announced. Voting on Commanders & Characters will start on Friday February 2nd and close at the end of the day (11:59pm) Monday, February 5th.

The winner of the Commander category will receive everlasting glory and a jumbo sized Blackbeard “miniature” from Firelock Games as a prize.

The winner of the Character category will receive a “Box of Plunder” sprue (from the Raise the Black Kickstarter) with lots of great bits for kitbashing along with the 18th Century Commander and the Spiritual Leader character miniatures.

Thank you for participating in the Peoples’ Choice Voting process for the 2024 Great Pirate Paint Off! The contest continues through the end of April with voting and prizes being awarded for different categories at the end of each month.
