The 2025 Summer of Plunder community campaign for Firelock Games’ pirate games is just around the corner, and everyone is gearing up for an epic Summer of Plunder. As part of the prep, we are working with Firelock Games to get this year’s Organized Play Kit ready to go!

After its success last year, Firelock Games is releasing a new Organized Play Kit for this year’s campaign. We’re here to share the details and preview its contents. We’ll also let you know how to get ahold of it, and how you can use it to make your Summer of Plunder extra great this year.

2025 Organized Play Kit Contents

The kit will contain EVEN MORE goodies this year than last year! Containing enough material for 4 players, this kit will contain

• 16 Miniatures
• Exclusive set of Militia stat cards
• 2 new Admirals for Oak & Iron
• Fortune tokens
• Guide Booklet
• Custom Scenarios for Blood & Plunder (3x), Oak & Iron (1x), and Port Royal (1x)
• Promotional Poster

Let’s jump into the minis first!

Exclusive Miniatures

This kit will include 4 copies of 4 new, never before seen, minis for Blood & Plunder (or Port Royal!).

• 4x Sailing Masters
• 4x Hostages
• 4x Ship’s Wheels
• 4x Pirate Musicians

All these minis can be used in Port Royal as well!

Sailing Master

The Sailing Master included in No Peace Beyond the Line is a great Character that helps you maneuver and manage your ship with precision. Proper sail management allows your gun crew to let off devastating broadsides, or gives your boarding party the best chance at grappling that enemy ship, Defensively it can even adding that last bit of sail to push the ship’s speed past it’s normal limit so you can avoid getting boarded by those terrifying mass of scummy pirates.

For six years, the Sailing Master has lacked a model, but no longer! Our new Sailing Master model is posed directing the adjustment of sails, yelling loudly while he holds a speaking trumpet and his rutter (mariner’s handbook).

Without a devoted model, it can be easy to forget which unit contains your character, and sometimes you even forget you even have the character in your force. This Sailing Master model will help players enjoy using the Sailing Master in their force during the Summer of Plunder. This character may come up in one of the scenarios in the OP booklet this year!

Ship’s Wheel

The next mini in the kit is a Ship’s Wheel, which has long been requested by Blood & Plunder players. This ship upgrade is available to all size 3+ ships and helps you perform difficult maneuvers as well.

Pirate Musician

My favorite of the lot! Every extravagant pirate commander needs a musician! Check out this fiddling pirate with his monkey sidekick (Just don’t give the monkey a blunderbuss!).

Hostage

This is a new Character that will be part of one of the scenarios! He is also a perfect option for the Captured Merchant Character from the No Peace Beyond the Line expansion.

Alternate “Militia” Stat Cards

This kit will include sets of some new, alternate layout stat cards for one unit from each nationality.

Units include:

• Spanish Milicianos
• English Militia
• French Canadian Militia
• Dutch Militie
• Native American Young Warriors
• “Pirate” Jamaican Privateers
• Unaligned European Militia

Each deck will include 4 copies of all cards, so each player can take home a full set of alternate stat cards.

Oak & Iron Cards

In this kit you will find 2 brand new Admiral cards for Oak & Iron, Woodes Rogers and Charles Vane.

Fortune Tokens

The kit includes a bag of Fortune Tokens, contributed by us here at Blood & Pigment. Each bag includes a mix of 8 different coin tokens, useful for Blood & Plunder, Oak & Iron, or Port Royal. There is a variety of English, French, Spanish, and Dutch coins, but each kit will include:

• 4 “standard” metal pirate coins
• 3 “deluxe” larger reproduction coins
• 1 original Dutch copper coin from the 18th century

These fortune tokens will be used in one of the scenarios, and players will be able to battle for who walks away with them!

Promotional Poster

If you are playing at a local game store, the kit includes a great promotional poster to advertise your game nights. Ask your game store if you can post this attractive poster with some eye-catching images, dates, and a QR code for more details.

Booklet

Finally, the 2025 Organized Play Kit includes an 8-page booklet with instruction guidelines for hosting the campaign, an intro to the Summer of Plunder event, and 5 scenarios for use during the campaign.

Scenarios in the booklet include:

• Men of Fortune (2 player land scenario for Blood & Plunder)
• The Fickle Sea (2-6 player sea scenario for Blood & Plunder)
• Escape by Sea (2 player amphibious scenario for Blood & Plunder)
• Escape from Nassau (scenario for Oak & Iron )
• Quake 1692 (scenario for Port Royal)

These scenarios use all the contents of the kit, and are optionally linked to different campaign objectives over the course of the campaign.

Getting an Organized Play Kit

The 2025 Organized Play Kit will cost between $40-45 and will be available to retail stores and Firelocks’ Quartermasters. Being an event kit offered at a very low cost, it won’t be made available for standard purchase on the Firelock Games Website or through retail distributors.

Retail Stores

Any game store can order this kit directly from Firelock Games. If they don’t already have an account, it can quickly be set up through the Retail Store Application on the Firelock website. This would be a great time to encourage your local game store to set up an account and bring this kit in for the Summer event!

Firelock Quartermasters

Firelock Games has a “Quartermaster” program for community organizers and content creators for their games. They reward active community members who help promote their games with support and store credit! It’s a great program! Someone in your group may already be serving as a Quartermaster, and they will be able to order this kit directly from Firelock Games.

If you don’t have an active event coordinator, maybe it’s time YOU became the Quartermaster for your area! Quartermasters, as of writing this, there was progress towards making this item available on the webstore if you were logged in to your Quartermaster account. Stay tuned for more details in an upcoming Quartermaster Newsletter.

When Will the Organized Play Kit be Available?

May 1st. Final preparations are happening, and Firelock is moving at flank speed to make the kit available for order and shipping on May 1st (also the same day the 2025 Summer of Plunder Discord server will be opening!). A delay of a day or two is always possible, but if you order in early May, it should arrive well in time for the June 1st start day for the campaign. [UPDATE: May 3rd is new date for ordering 2025 kit.]

Final Thoughts

Time to gear up for some great pirate gaming over the summer! We’re all looking forward to getting our hands on this kit, enjoying some new models, scenarios and plunder in a few weeks!
