We have another quick miniature preview post for you! Dr. D has painted up the Buccaneer Storming Party unit (used for the English Forlorn Hope and the French Les Enfants Perdus) and has given us some pictures to share with everyone.
These are part of the massive set of new sculpts coming in the Wave 2 Kickstarter project scheduld to launch in late Q1 2026.
Buccaneer Storming Party Unit
This unit is armed to the teeth: buccaneer gun, melee weapon, brace of pistols, and explosives! These guys are the first men over the wall when attacking a fortified position, or the first over the gunwales when boarding an enemy ship.
Dr. D’s painting skills are exquisite and these nice minis show off his work well!
I think my favorite of the 4 minis is this mountain of a man:
I wouldn’t want him boarding my ship! Two of the four models have beards which makes them look a little tougher and more dangerous.
New Models Compared to Old Buccaneer Storming Party
These should look great mixed in with the original Buccaneer Storming Party. Below are the original minis painted by various painters for previous years’ painting contests.
It’s going to be great to be able to make units of 8 with no repeated models!
