Blood & Plunder at NashCon 2025

NashCon 2025 is being held August 14-17, 2025, one of the HMGS’s historical miniature gaming conventions in the southeast. Held annually in Franklin, Tennessee (a suburb of Nashville). The event offers a wide variety of miniature games, not just historicals. This year Blood & Pigment will be hosting Blood & Plunder and Port Royal events throughout the weekend.

Whether you’re new to the game or a long-time fan, NashCon is a great opportunity to meet other players, see detailed terrain and painted miniatures in action, and take part in a growing wargaming community.

Where is NashCon held?

At the Sheraton Music City Hotel & Convention Center
777 McGavock Pike, Nashville, Tennessee 37214

How Much Is It?

  • One day passes are $30
  • Weekend Passes are $45
  • $5 discount for all HGMS members
  • Registering for tournament events is “weird” at NashCON. If you preregister for a Tournament, you get a free weekend pass. But at first glance, the tournament price looks higher than it should be. It’s essentially $5 for the tournament and you get a free badge… if you come for the weekend. If you only want to come for the single day… it is $20, but you might be able to negotiate with NasCON organizers on site.
  • Standard events are typically free with entry passes.

Blood & Plunder Demos / Narrative Event

“Flames of Tobago” – Narrative / Learn to Play Event

Historical Background

In 1677, the Dutch and French were locked in a brutal colonial struggle over the island of Tobago in the Caribbean. The island was torn by conflict multiple times, but in December the French launched a major campaign to seize the Dutch-held colony. The French landed a substantial force and attacked the Dutch fortifications, leading to a destructive battle and began a scorched earth campaign against the rest of the island. This scenario zooms in on a skirmish within that larger conflict, where the Dutch attempt to defend a key sugar plantation and nearby supply outpost from an advancing French landing force coming through the jungle.
