GenCon 2025 is being held July 31st – August 4th, 2025, one of the largest gaming conventions in the nation. Held annually at the Indiana convention center in Indianapolis. The event offers a wide variety of tabletop games, not just miniatures war games. This year Blood & Pigment will be hosting a couple Blood & Plunder events throughout the weekend.

Gencon is a tabletop gaming convention held annually in Indianapolis Indiana. Gencon is one of the biggest tabletop gaming conventions in the United States. I tell people when I describe this convention that, if it is a game, and you can play it on a table, you will likely find it at Gencon. In 2025 tens of thousands tabletop game enthusiasts will converge for the best 4 days in gaming.

Blood & Plunder Sea Tournament
Join us for a Blood & Plunder Sea Tournament at GenCon! Build your best sea list, and battle your way to victory in the Blood and Plunder Gencon Tournament. This will be a 3 round swiss style tournament with lists at 250 points.
Sea Tournament Event Details
Official FIRELOCK GAMES Blood & Plunder SEA Tournament. 250pts any faction, any era. Swiss format. 3 rounds, prizes (TBD) will be awarded.
The tournament will run three 100-minute rounds.
- When: Thursday, from 2pm – 8pm
- Game Type: Tournament
- # of Players: 28 Max
- Experience Required: Some
- Cost: $6 (Plus cost of badge)

- Requirements: Players must bring everything they need to run a 250-point Seaforce of any Nation/Faction. Loaner forces will not be available.

Blood and Plunder Fleet Battle
Two convoys meet on the high seas in a chance encounter. You must fight off or capture the enemy while protecting your precious cargo. Bring a 250 point Blood and Plunder sea list from any faction and take part in a massive fleet battle. This will be a more casual team event, two tables will be available with 3 players on each side.
- When: Friday, 9 am – 1 pm.
- Game Type: Multiplayer event game.
- # of Players: 12 Max (2 tables of 3v3)
- Experience Required: Some (You’ve played it a bit and understand the basics)
- Requirements: You must bring all ship(s)/boats, miniatures, dice, activation deck, rulers, and any templates you need.
Sea Tournament Packet and Preregistration Form for both events.
- Forces will be validated before the tournament and event starts and it is really important that we get most of that done in advance so the events can start on time.
Please, PLEASE, PLEASE submit your force for validation ahead of time, right here! If you can’t submit ahead of time, you need to show up at least 30 minutes before the event starts.

Final Thoughts
Registration starts on May 18th so move fast if you want a spot in these events. GenCon is a gigantic convention with attendance of a little over 70,000 people.
