The Great Pirate Paint Off is our annual miniature painting contest for Blood & Plunder and Oak & Iron. Hosted here on Blood & Pigment, it usually covers the first 4 months of a year, running from January 1st through the end of April, with staggered deadlines for several different categories for projects, including Blood & Plunder Commanders, Characters, Terrain, Units, and Ships for Blood & Plunder and Port Royal, and Ship models for Oak & Iron.

Contest features include prize support from Firelock Games and other sponsors, periodic updates with featured entries, a public gallery of all entries, and people’s choice opportunities to vote for your favorite entries in various categories.
