Description

This reproduction of the 1723 King John V makes a great Fortune Token for the Unaligned/Minor Powers or Portuguese Blood & Plunder player . This is a smaller sized coin, but historically correct for a gold coin.

The Obverse side features the 1723 date and crowned bust of John V with the Latin text:  IOANNES V D G PORT ET ALG REX  (John V, by the Grace of God, King of Portugal and the Algarves)

The Reverse side features the crown coat of arms in cartouche.

Compares well with the original coin. 

This historic coin was minted with gold from Brazil. But this reproduction is not made of gold. 🙂
